D.C. Pickleball Team was formed in December 2022 by Al Tylis, Sam Porter, Eva Longoria, Justin Verlander, Kate Upton, Rip Hamilton, Shawn Marion, Odell Beckham Jr. and Mesut Ozil. When they learned of the opportunity to represent DC with an MLP team, the ownership group were thrilled given their familiarity with and history in the DC community. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and DC plays a major role in that growth with the number of players playing in the DMV area. D.C. Pickleball Team aims to unite communities through this accessible sport and to help grow and elevate it in every way they can.
